              Dockside Beavers

Beavers are our youngest section and usually meet for an hour and fifteen minutes a week, the young people can join us from the age of 6 years old and move up to Cubs at the age of 8, although there is some flexibility in the ages of the children. 1st Gillingham Beavers have the opportunity to enjoy a large range of regular activities, such as days out, trips to the zoo and sleepovers with their friends, and we take them camping too! The emphasis for this age range is firmly about participation, fun and spending time with friends, rather than meeting standards and achieving goals.

We have 1 Beaver Colony who meet every week:

  • Dockside Beavers: Friday evening between 5:00pm and 6:15pm

All 3 colonies meet every week during term time, the meetings are run by a dedicated team of trained Leaders, ably supported by some of our younger Scout Leaders. A trial period of 3 weeks is offered to any child or young person, who is interested in becoming involved with Beavers in Gillingham. Our   colony is busy vibrant places, offering fun, adventure and friendship in a friendly secure environment, at our dedicated Scout Hall.

If you would like to know more about what Beavers has to offer, please do get in touch.
